Farm Contractors Ireland give €1000 to Embrace Farm

The annual Embrace FARM ecumenical remembrance service took place in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois yesterday (Sunday, 28th June 2026).

Embrace FARM offer support farm families in the aftermath of a serious injury or sudden bereavement, offering a compassionate community to share, heal, and connect.

The annual ecumenical service offers an opportunity to remember and honour loved ones who have been lost or injured in farm accidents.

The Association of Farm and Forestry Contractors in Ireland (FCI) were delighted to attend the event and support the ongoing work of Embrace FARM by donating €1000 on behalf of their members.

FCI managing director Ann Gleeson Hanrahan said:

“The Embrace FARM annual ecumenical remembrance service is an event that FCI has supported for many years. Embrace FARM is a completely voluntary organisation and relies entirely on donations to continue its important work.”

“Through the tragedy of their own loss, Brian and Norma Rohan have provided invaluable support to many agricultural contracting and farming families who have experienced serious injury or sudden bereavement” she added.

“Embrace FARM is a very worthwhile initiative. Everyone hopes that they will never need to call on their important services, but nevertheless, the farm and forestry contractors of Ireland respect and appreciate the vital work that this voluntary organisation carry out” she concluded.
